The Greater Milan Area Community Foundation annual banquet celebrates its achievements by raising funds valued at $40,000 for the night.
In addition to the fundraising, Patrolman Justo Burgos is given honors by Milan Police Chief Gerald Scherlinck at the banquet for reviving Milan resident Rick Kinne with an automated external defibrillator (AED) who had stopped breathing last Oct. 8, 2012. The Foundation released grants for the purchase of two more AEDs for the department.
