Blandin Foundation, a Grand Rapids-based private organization, has recently awarded 29 grants to rural Minnesota communities and projects totaling $401,631.
The recipients will each share a part of the grant to improve high-speed Internet access and use within the community. Among its recipients, Lake County will benefit from three of the grants: Broadband Community Education, Mobile Device Initiative and Digital Literacy Project.
