Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Grant

Organization - Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
Grant Amount - $15,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - The Flint Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has worked in partnership with area car and motorcycle enthusiasts to develop two summertime events in downtown Flint: Back to the Bricks and Bikes on the Bricks. Back to the Bricks has grown from a small, one-day car show in 2005, to a four-day event, while Bikes on the Bricks is still in the beginning stages. In 2007, the events attracted over 50,000 visitors and had approximately 9,000 cars and 50 motorcycles on display. This grant will provide funds to expand on the success of both events by increasing advertising avenues.
