Project QUEST, Inc. Grant

Organization - Project QUEST, Inc.
Grant Amount - $200,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - This grant will provide general purpose support to Project QUEST, Inc. As a nationally recognized sectoral employment program, Project QUEST defines the skills required to succeed in targeted, hard-to-fill occupations, then recruits, trains, and develops adults so that they are qualified and ready for employment. Project QUEST has placed over 2,100 participants in jobs paying family-sustaining wage levels. A 2006 Texas Workforce Commission study indicates that approximately 95 percent of those participants remain employed a year later. Verifications of pay show that alumni who graduated in 2004 are currently earning an average wage that is more than 200 percent higher than incomes before training.
