Research Foundation of the City University of New York Grant

Organization - Research Foundation of the City University of New York
Grant Amount - $10,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - The City University of New York Graduate Center runs an annual international community foundation fellowship program with the aim of enhancing the development of community philanthropy globally. Each year, the program offers emerging leaders and seasoned community foundation practitioners from foreign countries opportunities to learn about community foundations through an intensive graduate program of research, seminars, conferences, mentoring, and internships. To date, the International Community Foundation Fellows Program has provided fellowships to 118 individuals from more than 40 countries. This grant increase will enable the center to offer a more adequate stipend and offset rising transportation and housing costs for the five fellows expected to participate over 2008 and 2009. The Research Foundation of the City University of New York administers grants on behalf of the center.
