Center on Budget and Policy Priorities Grant

Organization - Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
Grant Amount - $75,000
Foundation - Mott Foundation
Grant Purpose - First held in 1994, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities' annual State Fiscal Policy conference is now the largest gathering of national- and state-level nonprofits that are concerned with the effect of budgets and tax policies on the public programs that aid low- and moderate-income families. At the event, attendees strengthen their analytical skills, develop relationships with peers in other states, and identify valuable resources to support their efforts. Mott support will enable the grantee to plan and host the 2008 conference, which will be held in Washington, D.C. in November. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities was founded in 1981 to analyze federal budget priorities, with particular emphasis on the impact of various budget choices on low-income Americans.
